Three weeks to go: paramedic calls on capital to join London Ambulance Charity carol service
With just three weeks to go until the London Ambulance Charity’s first Christmas carol service, a paramedic is urging people to book tickets and help save lives.

The Together in Song service is taking place on 16 December at the historic St Bride’s Church on Fleet Street.
The evening will see the church’s renowned choir lead a programme of traditional carols and moments of reflection.
Enjoy some festivities
Paramedic Sean Copping said: “I’m really looking forward to the service – it’s a chance to step away from the sirens and enjoy some festivities with colleagues and our supporters.
“Working through winter can be tough, we know more people need our help, so getting support from the public at this time means so much.
“And of course raising money for more defibrillators means we are creating a safer city for everyone.”
Defibrillators in the community
Money raised on the night will help London Ambulance Service place more defibrillators out in the community.
These devices can dramatically increase a person’s chance of surviving a cardiac arrest – at the moment fewer than one in 10 people survive.
As well as the Heart Starters Campaign, the event will also support projects that help the mental and physical wellbeing of ambulance crews and call handlers, who face intense pressure throughout the winter months.
Londoners coming together
Jessica Burgess, Head of the London Ambulance Charity, said: “This service is more than just a night out with beautiful music. It’s Londoners coming together to help save lives. Tickets are selling fast – don’t miss out on our first ever Christmas carol service.”
This event is kindly sponsored by TORTUS, so every penny raised will go to the London Ambulance Charity.
