We pay tribute to member of staff who has passed away

It is with great sadness that we announce that a member of our staff has passed away.

Jamie Lamb

Jamie Lamb died in hospital on Friday afternoon (29 May). He was 59 years old.

Jamie had been in hospital for four weeks after suffering a heart attack.

Jamie, an Emergency Ambulance Crew working in our Romford complex, was a popular member of our team. He was widely regarded as a likeable colleague by staff in north east London. Jamie began his career with London Ambulance Service as a trainee qualified ambulance person in 1996, working initially out of different stations across north east London.

He would go on to work at ambulance stations in Ilford, Becontree and Romford and was due to celebrate 25 years with London Ambulance Service next year. Jamie saw a lot of changes in his time with the Service but one thing that remained the same was the kindness and care he always offered to his patients.

The thoughts and condolences of everyone at London Ambulance Service are with Jamie’s wife Suzanne, all of his family and his many friends and colleagues.
