Calling all Londoners – join us at our Annual Public Meeting

If you would like to hear more about a year in the life of the world’s busiest ambulance service, please come along to London Ambulance Service’s Annual Public Meeting (APM) on Tuesday 27 September from 5.30pm to 7pm.

The meeting – which will look back on a record-breaking year for the organisation – will take place at the Service’s newly opened Brentside Education Centre in Brentford.

The evening will feature guest speakers, an overview of our performance and finances, and will give attendees the chance to put their questions to our Board members.

The event will also see the launch of the Service’s latest annual report and accounts, which chronicle our work over the year.

Places for guests attending in person will be secured on a first-come, first-served basis, but the event will also be streamed virtually allowing people to watch live from the comfort of their own homes.

Please click here to register for a place in person, and follow our YouTube channel for the live broadcast (and more videos from the service!).

Our APM will be hosted by our new Chair, Andy Trotter OBE QPM, and will have a special focus on how we work in partnership with other organisations across the capital so that we can provide the best possible care to our patients.

This includes working with other NHS bodies, charities, patient groups and our emergency service partners such as the Metropolitan Police Service, London Fire Brigade and London’s Air Ambulance.

Chair, Andy Trotter, said: “We are pleased to be able to share details of our upcoming APM and to offer an open invitation to all Londoners and those with an interest in our service.

“Last year was incredibly busy for us, as our staff and volunteers dealt with and responded to the highest number of 999 and 111 calls we have ever received.

“Our teams have continued to work incredibly hard, and we’d like to share some of their experiences of working across our diverse capital, keeping the people of London safe and well cared for.

“Although we have achieved a great deal, the past year has presented challenges, and we want to share how – by working in partnership – we are working to overcome them and respond to the growing demands on our service.”
