As a member of the Integrated Urgent and Emergency Care team, 111 Health Advisors answer and manage our 111 calls.
Health Advisors complete a five-week training course to become licensed to use the NHS Pathways system, a tool that helps assess symptoms and guide patients to the right level of care. This training provides the essential skills and clinical knowledge needed for the role.
The role requires an excellent telephone manner and strong communication skills. With experience of dealing with the public over the phone or in similar settings, Health Advisors are able to follow policies and procedures accurately and remain calm and effective under pressure.
