Working as a paramedic in London is highly rewarding and offers a level of job satisfaction found in few other roles.
Every day is different, and every shift gives you the opportunity to help people when they need it most. You will be giving something back to the local community in a challenging but rewarding role.
You will respond to 999 calls, working with a crewmate or independently, assessing and treating a wide range of patients.
On one shift, you could be delivering a baby or resuscitating a patient in cardiac arrest. On another, you might be helping an elderly person who has fallen at home or supporting someone in a mental health crisis.
With every call, people place their trust in you and your clinical skills and judgement. You will make key decisions about the care they need, including whether to treat them at home, take them to hospital, or refer them to another appropriate treatment centre.
