Our Non-Emergency Transport Service team cares for patients who are unwell but do not have life-threatening conditions.
The team helps ensure our emergency ambulances remain available for patients who are critically ill or injured.
Members of the team are trained to carry out basic clinical observations and provide care such as oxygen therapy, pain relief, or minor wound treatment.
The team also plays an important role in supporting services across London Ambulance Service including our end-of-life care, mental health and urgent care teams, ensuring our patients can be treated in the most appropriate setting, whether that is home or another place of safety.
NETS vehicles have space for a stretcher or patients who need to travel in a wheelchair.
