The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from the nation that those who serve or have served in the armed forces, and their families, are treated fairly and we are proud at LAS to be accredited under this scheme.
The Business Disability Forum is the world’s leading employers’ organisation focused on disability, as it affects business. Its mission is to make organisations become ‘disability confident’ by making it easier to recruit and retain disabled employees and to serve disabled customers.
Disability Confident is a government scheme designed to encourage employers to recruit and retain disabled people and those with health conditions. It has replaced the previous “Two Ticks” scheme which guarantees interviews to disabled staff who meat essential criteria for roles amongst other interventions.
We are currently a Disability Confident: Committed (Level 1) employer, with aspirations to become Employer (Level 2) and Confident (Level 3) in the near future.
In 2023 the Trust was incredibly proud to join the 100s of organisations across the UK who have become accredited Living Wage Employers – this achievement follows a multi-year journey to ensure all our staff are paid the London Living Wage and that our previously outsources services are brought in-house as a part of #TeamLAS.
