Our statement on a 999 national technical problem today – 25 May 2023

Stuart Crichton, Director of 999 Operations London Ambulance Service, said:

“We are still seeing disruption and it is taking us longer to assess calls. To help us send help quickly, please be ready to provide us with a correct phone number and the exact address of the incident, or of a prominent nearby landmark.

“If you are calling about a life-threatening emergency, please continue to call 999. If you are unable to contact 999 in a medical emergency, please call 111.”
