How we developed our strategy
To achieve these three missions, we have set ourselves 50 commitments to deliver over the five years. In developing these ambitious commitments, we considered what our data told us about population we serve and the future of health and care.
We engaged with our staff, our partners and our patients, including interviewing over 500 LAS staff members and hearing from more than 2,100 members of the public through local HealthWatch organisations.
Our strategy reflects our determination to deliver the best care for Londoners, to create the best organisation and culture for our teams to thrive in and to contribute to making London the healthiest global city in the world.

The changing landscape
Health and care services are changing. The government’s 10 Year Health Plan set out how the NHS will focus on moving care closer to home, preventing illness rather than just treating it, and maximising opportunities that come with increased use of digital technologies.
At London Ambulance Service, we continue to evolve our plans in response to the wider health landscape, including considering how we can support neighbourhood healthcare.
