Countdown to Christmas: join London Ambulance Charity carol service and help save lives

There are just four weeks to go until the London Ambulance Charity’s first ever Christmas carol service.

Londoners are being urged to grab the last remaining tickets to show their support for hard-working call handlers and ambulance crews who are already facing winter pressures with 999 calls rising.

Together in Song will fill the beautiful St Bride’s Church in Fleet Street with music and candlelight on Tuesday 16 December.

The church’s renowned choir will lead the festive evening of sing-alongs, stories and seasonal treats.

Every ticket sold will support the London Ambulance Charity, helping call handlers and crews at the busiest time of the year.

The proceeds will also help place more life-saving defibrillators in London communities where they are needed most.

Jason Killens, Chief Executive of London Ambulance Service, said:

“Winter is always tough for our people and everyone working in the NHS. But this carol service is a chance for Londoners to come together and enjoy the festive music.

“Support from the public means so much, especially at this time of year. And you’ll be helping us save lives this winter.”

Through its Heart Starters Campaign, the London Ambulance Charity is hoping to improve cardiac arrest outcomes in London.

Sadly fewer than one in 10 people survive a cardiac arrest.

Every second matters

Paramedic and Head of Community Resuscitation Sam Palfreyman-Jones said: “When someone’s heart stops, every second matters.

“The more people who know how to do CPR and use a defibrillator, the better someone’s chances of survival.

“The money raised from this event will help us get more lifesaving equipment into local communities and train more people to use it – together we can save more lives.”

Tickets are going fast

Tickets are on sale now — but spaces are limited.

Jessica Burgess, Head of the London Ambulance Charity, said: “It’s just four weeks away, and tickets are going fast.

“We’d love people to book early, bring friends and family, and be part of a lovely evening of carols, candlelight and a great cause.”
