Emergency care practitioners go west

The emergency care practitioner programme has doubled in size with five additional boroughs in west and north-west London going live in January. New schemes have been set up in Harrow, Hillingdon, Barnet, Brent and Ealing, together serving a population of almost 1.5 million people.

New Year’s Eve 2005

The Service dealt with a record number of emergency 999 calls on New Year’s Eve taking over 1,400 calls between midnight and 4am—up four per cent on the same period last year.
