Bringing patient care to the front door

Patients in Newham may see a change in the emergency care they receive from now on, as a new type of paramedic service has been launched by the London Ambulance Service and Newham Primary Care Trust that will involve some patients being treated at home.

New recruits find a home in Homerton

The London Ambulance Service has welcomed the arrival of eight new recruits to its City and Hackney Complex. The newly qualified emergency medical technicians will join the existing 100-strong team at ambulance stations in Homerton, Shoreditch and Smithfield in responding to emergency calls.

Emergency care practitioners go west

The emergency care practitioner programme has doubled in size with five additional boroughs in west and north-west London going live in January. New schemes have been set up in Harrow, Hillingdon, Barnet, Brent and Ealing, together serving a population of almost 1.5 million people.
