Response to our use of sirens on Armistice Day

A London Ambulance spokesperson said:

“As a mark of respect this Armistice Day, we asked our ambulance crews to limit the use of sirens between 10.45am to 11.10am, only where it was safe to do so. This is a gesture we have made for several years to commemorate those who lost their lives in conflict since the first World War. This is no different to how we use our sirens at night and in residential areas.”
