Wimbledon ambulance station is hosting a very special open day of family fun for the community in the run up to Christmas.
The Nursery Road station will open its doors on Saturday 6 December and visitors can expect fantastic activities provided by London Ambulance Service.
Bill Arkell, Ambulance Operations Manager for Wimbledon said: “There will be fun for all ages including a teddy bear first aid tent, CPR demonstrations and lifesaving lessons. There will also be information for people considering a career with the Service and uniforms to try on to feel the part.”
A big draw for those looking for a bit of nostalgia is an authentic 1960s Morris Wadham motorised ambulance from the London Ambulance Service museum.
The open day will run between 11.30am and 2.30pm at Wimbledon ambulance station on Nursery Road, SW19 4JA.
