We have produced a new draft generic Equality & Inclusion Strategy (PDF, 1.7MB) and would like to know your thoughts.
The strategy covers all six equality strands – age, disability, gender, race, religion and belief and sexual orientation. It will ensure that we continue to meet our public duties under the current race, disability and gender legislation, and will also enable us to proactively prepare for the requirements of the forthcoming Single Equality Act, expected to be enacted into UK legislation by Autumn 2010.
We would like to know what you think of the strategy and whether there is anything additional you would like to see in it. The strategy is a living document and will remain so, as we work towards its goals jointly with you – our patients, customers, staff and stakeholders.
