Stroke & major trauma consultation response

The Service has published its official response to Healthcare for London’s ‘The shape of things to come’ consultation which proposed the development of high-quality stroke and major trauma care services in the capital.

The proposals were developed closely with the Service. To ensure patients are taken to the most appropriate hospital, we will work together with Healthcare for London to improve services and provide training for ambulance staff to assess and treat patients needing specialist major trauma or stroke care.

Our response was sent to Healthcare for London during the consultation, which ended on Friday 8 May.

It is expected that the Joint Committee of PCTS (JCPCT) will meet in the summer to consider the consultation responses and announce its decisions.
