Theft from London Ambulance Service vehicle

An ambulance has been targeted by a thief who struck on Christmas Eve.

The London Ambulance Service emergency vehicle was parked on Byron Road in Wembley when the incident occurred at about 9.30am.

While the paramedic and emergency medical technician were attending a call at a domestic address a bag containing medical books and personal items to the value of £100 was stolen from the vehicle.

Duty Station Officer Graham Card said: “Thankfully this kind of incident is rare, but it is totally unacceptable that when our crews are serving the public their vehicle is targeted. We will do everything possible to aid the police in pursuing a prosecution.”
