Burnt
hands, a firework in the eye and smoke inhalation were all treated
by London Ambulance Service staff in the run up to bonfire
night.
The Service attended 22 firework and one
bonfire related incident since 20 October, six more than over
the same period last year.
Fenella Wrigley, Deputy Medical Director,
said: “These figures show that although most people are taking care
and having a safe and enjoyable bonfire night, there are still a
minority who injure themselves and may put others at risk.”
