Following a review by the Care Quality Commission, all NHS
trusts are now being asked to publish declarations of
arrangements in relation to safeguarding.
Declarations in relation to safeguarding
Initial safeguarding declaration - September 2009
We submitted our first response on 3 September 2009, when
we also completed an audit of our safeguarding arrangements as per
Section 11 of the Children Act 2004.
Revised safeguarding declaration - September
2010
In November 2009, following liaison
with the Department of Health and Care Quality Commission
(CQC), NHS London asked all NHS Trusts to revise their safeguarding
children declaration to include an expanded and detailed statement
against specific criteria.
Our second declaration was published at the
end of December 2009. Our third declaration, to include updated
figures was published in September 2010
