What does membership involve?

lady speaking - have your say in the future planning of our serviceYou won’t often have to call 999 for an ambulance, but you never know when you might need our help.  Join as a member, and you can have a say in how we provide emergency and urgent care to patients in London.

Membership provides an exciting opportunity for us to build closer links with the community and ensure that as many people as possible have the chance to have their say in the future planning of the service.

Benefits of membership

  • Free subscription to Ambulance News newsletter
  • Get invited to free health events across the capital
  • Have a say in what we do
  • Be consulted on our future plans.

What can I do as a member?

Membership is free.  As a member, you can:

It is entirely up to you how much or how little you wish to be involved.

Membership – who can join?

Membership is open to anyone aged 16 and above who lives in London or in one of the following counties: Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Suffolk, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Norfolk, Oxfordshire or the Isle of Wight. Staff who have worked with us for at least a year are also eligible to become staff members.

Our public membership is made up of six constituencies (PDF, 173KB) within London, and one to represent those people who live outside the capital. We have one staff constituency with a group for our frontline staff, and one for our support staff.

Members are able to elect people within their constituencies to represent them as governors on our Council of Governors.

If you would like to become a member, please fill out our online form.
